Treasonous Behavior

President Trump is crossing over the line between treasonous behavior and honest criticism of governmental processes. It’s time to impeach him again, before he leaves office on January 20th.

He has made false and fraudulent allegations about the Department of Justice, the FBI, the election processes in 6 different US states, and his own cabinet appointees. He continues to sow distrust of the American government and the election process and any one who speaks the truth to his power. This is undermining faith in the American processes without evidence of fraud. In one case, a Republican attorney wants his own vote thrown out with several thousands of other votes simply because he cast an absentee ballot.

The people supporting Trump and his campaign are issuing slanderous, libelous messages and one of Trump’s lawyers has even called for the torture and execution of a fired government employee with nothing more than the employee disagreed with President Trump. This is an OUTRAGE and the President should disavow this person and fire him immediately. Execution seems extreme even for the person calling for it.

All of these things are in the news cycle right now but if you would like a link, let me know, I will be happy to forward it to you.

Amended at 1:18 PM Central Time:

On Tuesday afternoon, the Trump Lawyer said the following: “For anyone listening to the Howie Carr Show, it was obvious that my remarks were sarcastic and made in jest,” he said. “I, of course, wish Mr. Krebs no harm. This was hyperbole during political discourse.”

I’m guessing this is a kind of apology but I really want to know what other kinds of things the lawyer considers hyperbole in political discourse.

Pre-Existing Conditions: Time for a change?

It appears to me that pre-existing conditions is a stumbling block for everyone: Patients, doctors, insurance companies, Obamacare, etc.

Perhaps there should be a new approach for America. I’d like to see someone propose that genetic diseases are pre-existing conditions and the Federal and State governments will split the cost 50-50 for genetic disease treatment and management. Persons with a genetic disease register with State and Federal government and the patient/guardian is no longer responsible for the cost of healthcare for that genetic condition for the life of that patient.

In addition, all pregnancies greater than 60 days should be considered pre-existing conditions and accorded the same benefit of government-provided healthcare until a birth occurs.

So I’m thinking out loud on this. What do you think?

Political Party Over All Else

I’m sick of these people who place their support for their political Party over everything else. Over the law, over ethics, over common courtesy. These people vomit red or vomit blue over everything.

They vomit on government employees who are doing their jobs. They vomit on the law. They vomit up conspiracy theories and they vomit up lies instead of truth.

I’ve been calling them out. I don’t care which Party they are. If they begin with name calling and hurl accusations based in fallacies, falsehoods, and foolishness, I call them out.

If its propaganda, I call them on it. If its conspiratorial hogwash, I call them out.

If I had an anti-emetic, I would give them a double dose to prevent them from stinking up the internet with the stench of themselves.

The Dishonesty Of the Trump Campaign Recount in Wisconsin

Not having found evidence of fraud , the Trump campaign continues its attack to invalidate the votes of citizens in the predominately liberal areas known as Milwaukee and Dane County.

The recount teams are separating ballot challenges into bundles so that the Trump Campaign can take them to court and seek to have them thrown out. They wish to invalidate the ballots because of things like two different colors of pens were used or the ballots were folded. Folded for mailing appears to be a problem for the Trump Campaign.

Here’s the story:

Destroying Democracy to Retain the Presidency

The Trump Campaign is employing three approaches to prevent Joe Biden’s ascendancy to President of the United States. The Trump Campaign takes the approach that the election is illegitimate as a result of the popular vote in sovereign states and by the state electoral college.

Approach # 1 is to challenge all aberrations at the local level and imply there is a conspiracy to steal the election at the state level. IF there is sufficient doubt about the integrity of the election process, the Trump Campaign seeks to have state legislators choose electors to vote for the federal election.

Approach #2 is to challenge any/all changes in the election rules that were implemented due to COVID or to the use of large mail-in voting. This is to restrict the number of ballots to be counted and is considered to be voter suppression.

Approach #3 is to use unprecedented challenges at the federal level to throw the election to the Supreme Court. The fewer the people to influence, the greater the opportunity to win one’s argument.

It is dishonorable to destroy the integrity of the American election process to keep Donald Trump as President.

I predict we will see multiple Republican states take measures to vote by legislature when the election integrity is challenged. I also suspect that the federal government will challenge the Constitution and try to assert control over federal elections instead of allowing the states to control the election.

There are two more months for the Trump Campaign to invoke measures that break the backbone of American Democracy. If they are successful, be prepared for oligarchs to rule America and your only value as a human being is to support the oligarchs.

President Hulk

It occurs to me that Erasmus’ comment that “In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king” is never so more appropriate as it is today.

I was wondering why does Prez Trump think so highly of himself (the best brain brain, smartest guy in the room, etc) when there is so much evidence that he isn’t. And why is this pussy-grabbing, pissing on people, bankruptor of four businesses, bully, and humiliator, worshiped by millions of God-fearing moral and righteous people?

I think it’s because he manipulates those lesser than him and plays on their fears until they see him as the leader who will fight their enemies for them.

Surrounded by a complex world with problems not easily resolved, the average-ability American takes solace in that Donald Trump sees their enemy and is willing to fight their enemy on their behalf.

This is not an attack on average Americans. It is an acknowledgement that the world has become too complex for the average person to sort out good from evil, right from wrong, and moral high ground from the swamp of indecency.

Donald Trump is the one-eyed man who has been crowned king by the blind and good people in America.

The two-eyed good people of America are aghast that Donald Trump was elected and sees so little of a problem’s complexity. To them Donald Trump is the angry green monster shouting “Hulk Smash” and then destroying every thing in his sight.

When faced with a complex and confusing issue, he becomes angry and destroys people. With his words, with his actions, with his power.

Hulk Smash.

Hulk does not build.

Now President Hulk intends to smash the will of the people and the democracy that goes with it.

I believe black people now

I was a skeptic for the longest time. I never believed that white men over 40 were THE problem in America. Now I am inclined to believe it.

I wasn’t a problem. I did not hate nor was I racially prejudiced. I was careful not to offend. I tried to treat people with respect. If I failed, no one ever told me.

I was a mediocre white guy who was focused on making something of my life. I got lucky along the way and here I am now.

Do you know the name Jack Weinberg? He is the originator of the phrase, “Don’t trust anyone over thirty.” His life should be made into a movie. Look him up.

I want to change his phrase to say “Don’t trust white men over forty in politics.”

I believe black people who say old white men are the problem. I believe women who say old white men are the problem. I believe the millennials who say old white men are the problem.

President Donald Trump and the Grand Old Party of Republicans have convinced me. Mitch McConnell has convinced me, COVID has convinced me, and every black person beaten by a police man has convinced me.

When the President of the United States tries to overthrow the vote count in the US by saying some cloudy group of somebodies has rigged the election in America, he’s an old white man trying to invalidate the votes of Democrats so he can win office. When his supporters tell lie after lie about the vote count, they are all old white men who are trying to save the Republican President for a second term.

When the Republican Party thinks that laissez-faire public health policy is the best way to go, they are mistaken even in the face of data that says otherwise. They are old white men who want other people to suffer instead of thriving. They want big box stores to thrive and hometown business to go away.

When the riots of 2020 for police brutality and police violence are EXACTLY like they were in the 1960s, I believe white men over 40 have not changed since the 1960s.

When the old white men of the Republican Party implement voter suppression, I want to gag. They don’t support the America I want in my grandchildren’s future.

Shall we talk about the old white men in the Democrat Party? Chuck Schumer? Joe Biden? Tom Perez and Stony Heyer? Maybe a better class of people but their collective intelligence is not all that great. This is the group that forced upon us $5 light bulbs and said we couldn’t sell old babycribs. This is the group that continues to give things to crybabies and even talks about paying people today for the social crimes of a century ago. Reparations, my butt. This is the group that has one solution for everyone AND insists that Equality is FAIR. One size does not fit everyone. They are incredibly racial but not racist. If they had their way they would have representation in Congress by race and gender, and not by political boundaries with state sovereignty.

The only thing renewable supported by old white men in politics is their gerrymandered districts. Sheesh. Renewable election results.

Sustainable re-elections. Generational wealth and generational seats in politics.

The ignorance of white men over 40 and the lust to control the power of their positions is beyond comprehension.

I don’t know if women will be different. I don’t know if blacks will be different. But I want to find out.

I believe black people now.

Be Like Trump

  1. Have almost 1/2 the country vote for you
  2. Claim the other 1/2 of the country DID NOT vote for your opponent but instead claim the vote is fraudulent and you actually won the election.
  3. Use your campaign team to flood the battleground states with lawsuits hoping one of them will land with a sympathetic judge who will rule in your favor.
  4. Consult with the Republican leadership in battleground states and remind them of the laws in their respective states about certifying their elections.
  5. Inform the Republican state leadership of what they should do within their state if they think the certification is false in some way. Perhaps they need a second election. Or perhaps they can select the electors with their majorities in their legislature and send the Electoral Certification of the Vote and Certificate of Ascertainment to the Archivist and the President of the Senate by voting within the legislature.
  6. Continue your efforts to win even if it means thwarting the votes of the American people. After all, almost half of them voted for you and they will not complain about what you did.
  7. Continue to use your personal attorney to distract the news media while your team plans other approaches to continue your reign.
  8. Recognize that there are six ways to have this end up in the Supreme Court for a decision that favors you. Make one of them happen.
  9. Never Surrender. Never Give-Up. You are Trump and you are Supreme.

Robert Kennedy and today

“Some men see things as they are and ask, “”Why?”” I dream things that never were and ask, “”Why not?””

Some days I wake up and ask myself “Why don’t Republicans imagine a better world for people on earth?”

They appear to imagine a world that is better for them but not better for everyone. Is this true or am I missing something?

Would the Kennedy brothers be labled Socialists if they were leading the Democrat Party today? Somebody hated the Kennedys enough to kill them. What about President Johnson? Would his support of black lives in the ’60s through integration, equal opportunity, and government support programs be considered anti-Trump or anti-Republican if it occurred today?

Aren’t you curious why the marches today are the same as the ones in the 60s? Police violence, Police brutality.

Today’s marches are to end police violence and police brutality. Do you see that the root cause of these marches is a history of police violence in neighborhoods or do you see the violence as being necessary in crime- and drug-infested neighborhoods?

Do you see that the lack of government involvement in treating the neighborhood infestation through public health measures is an issue or do you see that people just need better morals, make better choices, and the crime and drug infestations will decrease as a result?

Do you blame the infected patient for his fever, vomiting, and sickness or should you treat the cause and make a sick person healthier? Would you do the same for sections of a city or should you simply contain the infection within its boundaries?

If the Kennedys and LBJ were alive today would they be considered LEFTISTS and SOCIALISTS by the Republican Party?

Does the Republcian Party see things as they could be and say WHY NOT? Or do they see it the same way as it was in the 60s?

And how are Black neighborhoods different than Chinese, Muslim, Hispanic, Hmong, and other ethnic neighborhoods?

So many questions and so few answers.

The Changing United States

We can simply forget the United States of the 40s and 50s , as well as , the US from the 80s and 90s. Those days and those ways are long gone. Unfortunately, we (and that includes me) don’t always acknowledge it.

The Nuclear Family with a “Father Knows Best Dad”, a “Claire Huxtable” mom and “Brady Bunch” kids , is pretty much behind us now. The values of a family have not changed because these are traditional values. However, they are now applied to single parent families, to mixed race families, and to extended and multi-generational families. It’s a different America at home and in the work place. Color and gender ceilings are broken almost daily.

What remains now is the blending of American and Rest of World cultures. Asian, Indian, Muslim, and other cultures are not melting into the American pot anymore but are becoming their own flavors of a new American dish. And we don’t recognize this is happening as well as we might. Yes, we have always had enclaves of different cultures but this is different.

Yesterday’s Blue-Plate Special of Caucasian America is changing and those cooks who have been making it for centuries are not adjusting their recipes. Call them what you will, but Caucasian primacy in America is devolving ever faster in both politics and the work place. Old timers like me can’t adjust fast enough. The attributes that guided us in the past six decades are eroding and being replaced with something new and it is a work-in-process activity.

President Trump, much to his dismay, is the second-to-last white male who will govern this country as though it were a single Caucasian constituency. Joe Biden will be the last one.

The model going forward will be multi-ethnic mixed-race candidates. We will be ahead of the European countries thanks to our history. The ruling Houses of Europe will be the last to adapt to the world.

Yeah, I know you other old timers don’t see it yet. Put your glasses on the next time you read the tea leaves. You will see what I see. A new America with a new vibrancy and a new kind of world leadership. We will not only embrace the ethnicity and culture within the US but we will embrace the Rest of the World, too.

Our manifest destiny is not over, we are extending it across both oceans until our fingers touch from around both sides of the earth. We will seek to blend in and not to stand out. It will become our new way.

Capitalism at your expense will give way to blended socialism. Much of that road has already been paved. We just don’t see it yet.
